UNEP Mediterranean Action Plan mid-term Strategy assessment

L4Earth’s US affiliate, Serova, was contracted to help conduct a systemic analysis of the capacities and operational costs required for the UNEP Mediterranean Action Plan (MAP) to effectively deliver the Medium Term Strategy 2022-2026 under the Barcelona Convention. We formulated recommendations based on an assessment of governance frameworks and finance structures of other Regional Seas Conventions and other Multilateral Environmental Agreements.

  • ○ Report detailing the capacities assessment conducted and recommendations to better align capacities with the objectives of the MTS and maximise operational costs.

    ○ Inputs to the draft MTS 2022-2027 and to the budget for 2022-2023.
